The biggest event the world of cricket, the World Cup has already started from May 30 in England. While the format of the World Cup remains the same, the number of participating teams has been reduced from 14 to 10.
This year The International Cricket Council (ICC) is following the footsteps of FIFA World Cup and has introduced home and away kit rule for this years’ participating teams. So, according to the rule, each of the participating teams will have to wear separate coloured jerseys for their home and away games.
Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, India, and the hosting country England will be playing the World Cup wearing their traditional Blue coloured jersey, which is their primary home kit. However, India will have to change the jersey colour from dark blue to orange for a few games in the World Cup.
Team India will be wearing the away colours for matches against England and Afghanistan on June 22 and June 30, respectively. The BCCI is yet to announce the jersey colours for the away matches, however, it is being speculated that the jersey will be a mix of blue and orange.
The Indian cricket team will continue to wear their blue jersey in the group matches but will don the new colour in the away matches
