Incredibly, A one litre mix of this concoction costs under Rs 10 – far more cost effective than traditional fuel.
Markani, who has an experience of long 15 years as car mechanic , said: “The car runs on acetylene gas , which is formed from a chemical reaction between calcium carbide and water.
“The gas is used for several industrial purposes including welding and portable lighting for miners. But in my case, I am using it to propel the car engines.”
“I have made other changes to the engines, which helps the overall performance of the car . So basically, it is just about the water.”
Markani also told that he had a whooping offer from a Chinese firm, which was interested in using his innovation, asking the investors to set up the plant in his hometown. The invention comes at a time when automobile companies are looking to use cleaner, more eco-friendly fuel in their cars. Markani has filed for a patent for the innovation.
