The Republic Day of India will be celebrated with full pride and dedication on 26th January on Saturday 2019. On this astonishing occasion, India will celebrate the 70th Republic day since the year 1950. We celebrate this day to retrieve the event of Indian constitution. Every year, the Government of India declares a public holiday as India became a republic on this day.
Indian Republic Day Chief Guest, 2019 –
In the current year 2019, the South African current and fifth President “Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa“ will be the honorable chief guest. During the G20 summit, the honorable prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi invited him to be the part of this auspicious day. This G20 summit was organized in Buenos Aires which is the capital of Argentina. According to the rumours and speculations, the African President is invited because India will also celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Mr. Gandhi spent several years in South Africa for studies and had friendly links with the personalities of South Africa.
This invitation will not only prove beneficial for both the nations but also the bonds of friendly relation will become stronger and many signing of deals can also take place.
Republic Day Theme
The theme of this year’s republic day has been named “Gandhi”. Just like every year, the tradition of illustrating the different cultures of various states will be presented in the form of tableaux. The tableaux of around 20 states have been finalized this year by the ministers of particular states. These illustrations in the form of tableaux may depict the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
What to See in the Republic Day 2019
The Air Force of India will showcase the country’s superpower by running over the fighter planes with 10% bio fuel in it. Several ceremonies and presentations are organized with surpassing efforts by the Indian government in Delhi. An enormous parade by the Indian Navy and army will also held at the Rajpath and other different states of India. The event is started by the Prime Minister by giving tribute and praise to the Amar Jawan Jyoti located at the India Gate, Delhi. This venture is done to honor the sacrifices made by the brave soldiers of the Indian army who lost their lives while protecting the mother India.
This year the illustration of ‘Anasakti Ashram’ will be depicted by the tableaux of Uttarakhand as this Ashram is located in it. It is to be noted that the father of the nation, MK Gandhi spent a significant amount of duration in the year 1929. Gandhi Ji also compared the beauty of Uttarakhand with Switzerland.
Awards and Medals
For the excellent work and achievements, the different awards like Ashok Chakra, Param Veer Chakra, and valor medals are distributed to various soldiers, common people, and school children are honored by the Prime minister. There will be various other surprises and events which can take place this year. The live telecast of this event will be displayed on several news channels. The Indian Republic day is incomplete by the award ceremony which is given to the families of soldiers, who lost their lives and thrilling bike stunt acts. This year the bike stunt will be performed by the J & K police team which is often called “Dare Devils”.
